Chris Campbell

Raised in New Orleans, Chris Campbell moved to New York City to finish a medical residency and to be closer to the New York art scene. After completing a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at Harvard, Chris retired from medicine and commenced studies at the Art Student's League of New York City. Since changing careers, Chris Campbell has exhibited successfully in New York, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, and finally Hawaii. Her work hangs in the foyer of the River Club at Sutton Place, New York and in the J.P. Morgan /Chase Manhattan Bank Headquarters on Park Avenue. Her primary medium is oil on canvas and most recent award winning work was purchased and donated to the Honolulu Academy of Art for the permanent collection. Honors and exhibitions include: Artist of Hawaii, Honolulu Academy of Arts 2002-2003; Melusine Award for Painting, Artist of Hawaii for 2001at the Honolulu Academy of the Arts; Hawaiian Airlines Featured Artist 2001; Jean Charlot Foundation award for Excellence - Artists of Hawaii 2000 Exhibition at the Honolulu Academy of the Arts; Hudson Valley Art Show, Westchester NY 1992-93; Stamford Museum Art Show 1989; Salmugundi Art Club of New York, 1988.
