Very early work by Madge conceived during her trip to Hawaii from Australia and during a stopover in Samoa. Illustrated in Arthur Tennent, The Art and Writing of Madge Tennent at p. 65. Island Heritage 1977. Madge Tennent oils are rarely on the market because the estate was mostly intact when it was given to the Isaacs Art Center in Kamuela. Provenance: Donald Angus, then purchased by Patches Damon Holt, Gift to the Honolulu Art Museum, later deaccessioned in a small sale of works from the museum.
